Julian Haart's 'Haartriesling' serves as a masterclass in the tension and purity of the Middle Mosel. Sourced from steep, slate-laden vineyards in Piesport and Wintrich, this estate-level bottling captures the historic essence of a region where viticulture dates back to Roman times. The steep, sun-drenched slopes force the vines to dig deep into the devonian slate soils for nutrients, imparting a distinct, salty minerality to the wine. Julian, who honed his craft under legendary winemakers, treats this entry-level cuvée with the same meticulous care as his grand crus. The grapes are harvested entirely by hand, gently pressed, and fermented spontaneously with native yeasts in a combination of stainless steel and traditional oak casks. The result is a feather-light yet intensely concentrated Riesling that balances electric acidity with pristine stone fruit flavors.

Established in 2010 by Julian Haart in the historic winegrowing village of Piesport, this Mosel estate has quickly risen to cult status. Having trained under legendary mentors like Klaus Peter Keller and Egon Müller, Haart applies a meticulous, hands-on approach to farming steep, slate-rich grand cru vineyards such as Piesporter Goldtröpfchen, Schubertslay, and Wintricher Ohligsberg. The estate's winemaking philosophy relies on organic viticulture, spontaneous fermentation in traditional oak Fuder, and minimal intervention to preserve the natural tension and purity of the fruit. Julian Haart is globally celebrated for producing incredibly precise, mineral-driven, and elegant Rieslings, particularly his legendary, feather-light Kabinett expressions.
