The Piesporter Goldtröpfchen, or 'droplets of gold,' is one of the Mosel's most legendary grand cru vineyards. Local folklore attributes the name to the sun-drenched dew drops that glisten like liquid gold on the steep, south-facing slate amphitheater hugging the Mosel river. Julian Haart, utilizing meticulous organic farming on these dizzying slopes, crafts an Auslese of breathtaking purity. Fermented spontaneously in traditional oak Fuder, this wine captures the noble rot of the vineyard with laser-like precision. It balances luscious, honeyed sweetness with a vibrant, electric vein of slate-driven acidity, avoiding any sense of heaviness and representing the pinnacle of Mosel sweet winemaking.

Established in 2010 by Julian Haart in the historic winegrowing village of Piesport, this Mosel estate has quickly risen to cult status. Having trained under legendary mentors like Klaus Peter Keller and Egon Müller, Haart applies a meticulous, hands-on approach to farming steep, slate-rich grand cru vineyards such as Piesporter Goldtröpfchen, Schubertslay, and Wintricher Ohligsberg. The estate's winemaking philosophy relies on organic viticulture, spontaneous fermentation in traditional oak Fuder, and minimal intervention to preserve the natural tension and purity of the fruit. Julian Haart is globally celebrated for producing incredibly precise, mineral-driven, and elegant Rieslings, particularly his legendary, feather-light Kabinett expressions.
