Crafted by the visionary Julian Haart, the Wintricher Riesling is a brilliant village-level expression that captures the dramatic, steep-slope terroir of Wintrich in the Middle Mosel. Sourced from parcels rich in weathered blue slate and quartz, this wine benefits from the same meticulous, hands-on organic farming that Haart applies to his grand cru sites. In the cellar, the juice undergoes spontaneous fermentation in traditional oak Fuder and stainless steel, preserving the electric tension and crystalline purity of the fruit. Historically, Wintrich has been celebrated for its intense, mineral-driven wines, and Haart's interpretation beautifully honors this legacy, offering a masterclass in Mosel precision, vibrant acidity, and smoky, slate-inflected depth.

Established in 2010 by Julian Haart in the historic winegrowing village of Piesport, this Mosel estate has quickly risen to cult status. Having trained under legendary mentors like Klaus Peter Keller and Egon Müller, Haart applies a meticulous, hands-on approach to farming steep, slate-rich grand cru vineyards such as Piesporter Goldtröpfchen, Schubertslay, and Wintricher Ohligsberg. The estate's winemaking philosophy relies on organic viticulture, spontaneous fermentation in traditional oak Fuder, and minimal intervention to preserve the natural tension and purity of the fruit. Julian Haart is globally celebrated for producing incredibly precise, mineral-driven, and elegant Rieslings, particularly his legendary, feather-light Kabinett expressions.
