Crafted in the subtropical climate of Yilan County, Taiwan, this exceptional single malt represents Kavalan's innovative approach to whisky maturation. Utilizing the pure, mineral-rich meltwater of the nearby Snow Mountain range, the distillery benefits from intense heat and humidity, which drastically accelerates the interaction between the spirit and the oak—a phenomenon often described as producing a mature character in a fraction of the time required in traditional cooler climates. Kavalan Distillery blev grundlagt i 2005 af King Car Group under ledelse af grundlægger Tien-Tsai Lee og er beliggende i Yuanshan i Yilan-distriktet på Taiwan.
