Utilizing the pure, mineral-rich meltwater of the nearby Snow Mountain range, the spirit undergoes an accelerated aging process driven by Taiwan's intense heat and humidity. Kavalan Distillery blev grundlagt i 2005 af King Car Group under ledelse af grundlægger Tien-Tsai Lee og er beliggende i Yuanshan i Yilan-distriktet på Taiwan.
