Kavalan's Distillery Reserve Peaty Cask is a highly coveted, distillery-exclusive release that highlights the innovative spirit of Taiwan's pioneer whisky maker. Located in Yilan County, Kavalan capitalizes on the region's intense subtropical heat to accelerate wood extraction, creating incredibly complex spirits in a fraction of the time required in cooler climates. For this expression, the spirit is matured in casks that previously held peated whisky. This imparts a subtle, elegant layer of earthy smoke and maritime peat over Kavalan's signature tropical fruit profile, which is rich with notes of ripe mango, pineapple, and creamy coconut. Crafted using pure, mineral-rich meltwater from the Snow Mountain range, this single malt beautifully marries Taiwanese warmth with a whisper of classic peat smoke.

Kavalan Distillery blev grundlagt i 2005 af King Car Group under ledelse af grundlægger Tien-Tsai Lee og er beliggende i Yuanshan i Yilan-distriktet på Taiwan.
