This highly collectible single malt represents a harmonious marriage of fine art and liquid craftsmanship, born from a collaboration between Taiwan's Kavalan Distillery and the acclaimed Taiwanese abstract artist Paul Chiang. Part of a prestigious limited-edition series, this expression features Chiang's evocative artwork on the label, celebrating the natural beauty of Yilan County. Distilled from peated malted barley and matured in Taiwan's intense subtropical climate, the whisky benefits from accelerated wood extraction and the pristine, mineral-rich meltwater of the Snow Mountain range. The peated style of Kavalan is exceptionally rare, delivering a complex profile where earthy, coastal peat smoke beautifully intertwines with the distillery's signature tropical fruit notes, such as mango, coconut, and ripe pineapple, rounded out by deep oak complexity from the single cask maturation.

Kavalan Distillery blev grundlagt i 2005 af King Car Group under ledelse af grundlægger Tien-Tsai Lee og er beliggende i Yuanshan i Yilan-distriktet på Taiwan. Destilleriet er opkaldt efter det oprindelige Kavalan-folk fra Yilan-sletten og var pioner inden for taiwansk single malt whisky i verdensklasse, skabt på mineralrigt smeltevand fra den nærliggende Snow Mountain-bjergkæde.
