While the estate is globally renowned for its pioneering work with Chardonnay, this Rhone-style blend showcases the family's passion for matching specific varietals to their ultimate ecological niches. Sourced from estate vineyards where cool ocean breezes and morning fog slow the ripening process, the grapes develop intense flavor complexity while retaining vital acidity. Kendall-Jackson blev grundlagt i 1982 af Jess Jackson og har siden udviklet sig til et af californisk vinavl mest velkendte ikoner, stadig drevet som en familieejet virksomhed anført af Barbara Banke. Vingården har base i Russian River Valley med Kendall-Jackson Wine Estate & Gardens i Santa Rosa og dyrker egne parceller i førsteklasses kystnære terroirs på tværs af Sonoma, Napa, Mendocino, Monterey og Santa Barbara County. Disse kystpåvirkede appellationer nyder godt af svalende havgus, grusholdige alluviale aflejringer og lange, rolige vækstsæsoner.
