✨ wine.spec_sheet

Kerloo Cellars' Cabernet Sauvignon represents a thoughtful, terroir-driven approach to Washington State's signature red grape. Sourced from premier Columbia Valley vineyard sites, this wine showcases a commitment to minimal intervention. Unlike the heavily oaked, high-alcohol styles often associated with domestic Cabernet, Kerloo focuses on elegance, freshness, and structural integrity. The fruit is typically fermented using native yeasts and aged in neutral French oak or concrete vessels to preserve the pure, vibrant character of the grape and the unique mineral signatures of Washington's volcanic soils. The result is a sophisticated expression of Cabernet Sauvignon that balances dark fruit flavors with savory complexity and refined tannins.

Founded in 2007 by winemaker Ryan Crane in Walla Walla, Washington, Kerloo Cellars is named after the distinctive call of the near-extinct Whooping Crane. The winery is dedicated to producing low-intervention, terroir-driven wines that highlight the diverse microclimates of the Columbia Valley and Walla Walla Valley. Sourcing fruit from esteemed sites such as Boushey, Upland, and Lonesome Spring Ranch, Kerloo focuses on crafting exceptional Rhône and Spanish-style expressions, including vibrant Syrah, Grenache, and Tempranillo, alongside crisp, mineral-driven Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay.
