Sourced from the unique terroir of the Yakima Valley, the Painted Hills Vineyard Grenache Rosé is a testament to Kerloo Cellars' commitment to low-intervention winemaking. The vineyard itself is situated in a region defined by the dramatic history of the prehistoric Missoula Floods, which left behind deep, well-draining sandy loam soils. This terroir, combined with the warm days and cool nights of the Columbia Valley, allows the Grenache grapes to ripen fully while retaining their vital, vibrant acidity. Winemaker Ryan Crane utilizes gentle direct-pressing of the whole clusters to achieve a pale, delicate salmon hue and to preserve the bright, high-toned red fruit aromatics and mineral tension that define this Provence-style Washington rosé.
