Sourced from the renowned Stone Tree Vineyard on the Wahluke Slope, this Cabernet Sauvignon represents a dramatic intersection of Washington's geological history and modern low-intervention winemaking. The vineyard itself is named after the petrified wood remnants found in the area, a testament to the ancient volcanic activity and cataclysmic Missoula Floods that deposited rich, gravelly soils across the landscape. Under the guidance of winemaker Ryan Crane, Kerloo Cellars coaxes a refined elegance from this notoriously warm site. While the Wahluke Slope typically yields massive, high-alcohol blockbusters, Kerloo's approach emphasizes restraint, capturing the vineyard's signature dusty tannins, intense dark currant fruit, and complex herbaceous undertones without overwhelming the palate with heavy oak.

Kerloo Cellars blev grundlagt i 2007 af vinmageren Ryan Crane i Washington States berømte Walla Walla Valley. Her fremstiller vinhuset håndværksvine med udpræget terroirpræg, som hylder de ypperste vinmarker i Pacific Northwest. Filosofien bygger på minimal intervention, afdæmpet brug af egetræ og spontangæring med naturlig gær, hvor Crane stræber efter at fremhæve den rene, levende frugtkarakter fra anerkendte parceller i Columbia Valley og Yakima Valley.
