Sourced from the sun-drenched Wahluke Slope AVA, the Stone Tree Vineyard Malbec from Kerloo Cellars is a testament to Washington State's ability to produce world-class Bordeaux varietals. The vineyard itself is named after the ancient petrified wood discovered in the area, a nod to the dramatic geological history shaped by the prehistoric Missoula Floods. Winemaker Ryan Crane employs a low-intervention approach to capture the raw energy of this site. The sandy loam soils and intense heat of the Wahluke Slope allow the Malbec grapes to achieve rich, concentrated flavors of dark fruit and cocoa, while the cool desert nights preserve a vibrant, balancing acidity.
