Crafted by winemaker Ryan Crane, 'The Endangered' Red Wine is a heartfelt homage to the near-extinct Whooping Crane, whose distinctive 'kerloo' call gave the winery its name. This bottling represents Kerloo Cellars' dedication to low-intervention winemaking and environmental consciousness. Sourced from select, high-elevation vineyards across Washington's Columbia Valley, this Rhône-style blend is fermented using native yeasts and aged in neutral French oak. The goal is to preserve the raw, energetic fruit profile and the distinct stony minerality of the region's volcanic soils, resulting in a wine that is both wild and remarkably elegant.
