Sourced from the historic Upland Vineyard, perched on the unique anticline of Snipes Mountain in the Yakima Valley, this Syrah is a testament to Washington State's deep viticultural roots. Upland Vineyard boasts a legacy tracing back to the pioneering plantings of William B. Bridgman in 1917. The terroir here is defined by ancient, sun-baked river cobbles left behind by the ancestral Columbia River, which force the vines to struggle and yield highly concentrated fruit. Winemaker Ryan Crane coaxes an Old World sensibility from these grapes, employing low-intervention techniques and neutral vessel aging to preserve the vineyard's distinctive voice. The resulting wine is celebrated for its complex interplay of dark bramble fruit, cured meats, black olive tapenade, and a stony, mineral-driven finish.
