Sourced from the esteemed Va Piano Vineyard in the southern district of the Walla Walla Valley, this Syrah represents a masterful dialogue between winemaker Ryan Crane's low-intervention philosophy and one of the region's most expressive terroirs. Planted in gravelly, silty loam soils, the vineyard benefits from warm daytime temperatures and cool evening breezes flowing from the Blue Mountains, allowing the grapes to develop deep complexity while retaining vital acidity. Kerloo Cellars coaxes out the wild, savory side of this site using native yeast fermentations and aging in neutral French oak puncheons. The resulting wine is a striking tribute to the Northern Rhône style, capturing the classic Walla Walla signatures of smoked meats, black olive tapenade, and dark, brambly fruit, wrapped in a structure of refined, velvety tannins.

Kerloo Cellars blev grundlagt i 2007 af vinmageren Ryan Crane i Washington States berømte Walla Walla Valley. Her fremstiller vinhuset håndværksvine med udpræget terroirpræg, som hylder de ypperste vinmarker i Pacific Northwest. Filosofien bygger på minimal intervention, afdæmpet brug af egetræ og spontangæring med naturlig gær, hvor Crane stræber efter at fremhæve den rene, levende frugtkarakter fra anerkendte parceller i Columbia Valley og Yakima Valley. Vinhuset har opnået særlig anerkendelse for sine dynamiske vine i Rhône-stil – især enkeltdarks-Syrah og frisk Grenache Rosé – suppleret af energiske fortolkninger af Tempranillo, Grenache Blanc og Sauvignon Blanc.
