Kilikanoon's Block's Road Cabernet Sauvignon is a masterful expression of the Clare Valley's unique terroir, where warm South Australian sunshine is tempered by cool evening breezes. Named after the historic Block's Road that winds through the picturesque valley, this wine is sourced from select low-yielding vineyards. The region's ancient soils, featuring red loam over limestone, impart a distinctive minerality and structural elegance to the fruit. Traditional winemaking practices, including fermentation in open-top vessels and maturation in fine French oak hogsheads, allow the natural character of the grape to shine. The result is a classic Clare Cabernet, celebrated for its seamless integration of rich dark fruit, subtle herbal complexity, and refined, age-worthy tannins.

Kilikanoon blev grundlagt i 1997 af vinmageren Kevin Mitchell og ligger i den naturskønne Clare Valley i South Australia. Vingården henter sine druer fra historiske, lavtydende gamle vinstokke fordelt over en række forskellige mikroklimaer og jordbundstyper, og huset er dedikeret til at skabe vine med enestående kraft, præcision og regional autenticitet. Kilikanoon har opnået stor international anerkendelse for sine dybt koncentrerede, strukturerede rødvine – heriblandt især flagskibene Oracle Shiraz og Prodigal Grenache – side om side med krystalklare, gemmeværdige Clare Valley Riesling-vine.
