Kilikanoon's 'Kavel's Flock' Shiraz pays tribute to Pastor Augustus Kavel, a visionary leader who guided Silesian pioneers to South Australia in the mid-19th century to escape religious persecution. These early settlers laid the foundations for the region's rich agricultural and viticultural heritage. Crafted from premium vineyards in the Clare Valley, this wine embodies the region's distinctive terroir, characterized by warm days and cool nights that preserve natural acidity. The wine is traditionally vinified and matured in a selection of French and American oak barrels, creating a harmonious balance between intense dark fruit flavors, savory spices, and structured tannins.

Kilikanoon blev grundlagt i 1997 af vinmageren Kevin Mitchell og ligger i den naturskønne Clare Valley i South Australia. Vingården henter sine druer fra historiske, lavtydende gamle vinstokke fordelt over en række forskellige mikroklimaer og jordbundstyper, og huset er dedikeret til at skabe vine med enestående kraft, præcision og regional autenticitet. Kilikanoon har opnået stor international anerkendelse for sine dybt koncentrerede, strukturerede rødvine – heriblandt især flagskibene Oracle Shiraz og Prodigal Grenache – side om side med krystalklare, gemmeværdige Clare Valley Riesling-vine.
