The 'Killermans Run' range by Kilikanoon is named in honor of Alan John Harrison, a legendary local character known affectionately as 'Killerman.' In the mid-20th century, Killerman lived a rugged, entirely self-sufficient lifestyle in a hand-built bark hut in the hills behind the Kilikanoon property, hunting for his food and crafting his own wild wines. This Grenache Shiraz Mataro (GSM) blend captures that independent, earthy spirit. Crafted using fruit sourced from select vineyards across South Australia, the wine undergoes traditional vinification, including gentle pressing and maturation in seasoned French oak hogsheads. The result is a classic Australian GSM that beautifully balances the bright, red-berry perfume of Grenache, the plush structure and dark spice of Shiraz, and the rustic, savory undertones of Mataro.
