The Kilikanoon Medley GSM is a masterful assembly of Grenache, Shiraz, and Mataro, crafted to showcase the synergy of these classic Rhône varieties in the unique terroir of South Australia. Sourced primarily from select vineyards in the Clare Valley, this wine captures the region's signature diurnal temperature shifts—warm, sun-drenched days that fully ripen the grapes, followed by cool nights that preserve vital acidity. Each variety is vinified separately using traditional techniques, including open-top fermentation and gentle basket pressing, before aging in seasoned French oak barrels. The Grenache contributes vibrant red berry perfume and spice, the Shiraz provides rich plum flavors and structural fleshiness, while the Mataro (Mourvèdre) anchors the blend with savory complexity, earthiness, and fine-grained tannins, resulting in a harmonious and layered performance.

Kilikanoon blev grundlagt i 1997 af vinmageren Kevin Mitchell og ligger i den naturskønne Clare Valley i South Australia. Vingården henter sine druer fra historiske, lavtydende gamle vinstokke fordelt over en række forskellige mikroklimaer og jordbundstyper, og huset er dedikeret til at skabe vine med enestående kraft, præcision og regional autenticitet. Kilikanoon har opnået stor international anerkendelse for sine dybt koncentrerede, strukturerede rødvine – heriblandt især flagskibene Oracle Shiraz og Prodigal Grenache – side om side med krystalklare, gemmeværdige Clare Valley Riesling-vine.
