Hailing from the Watervale sub-region of South Australia's famed Clare Valley, Mort's Block Riesling is a poignant tribute to Mort Mitchell, father of Kilikanoon's founder Kevin Mitchell. Mort planted these vines in the classic terra rossa soils—red loam over limestone—which define the region's finest white wines. This terroir imparts a striking mineral tension and pristine citrus focus to the wine. Crafted using traditional, gentle basket pressing and cool fermentation in stainless steel to preserve the purity of the fruit, Mort's Block is celebrated for its laser-like acidity, intense lime juice aromas, and wet-stone minerality.
