Hailing from the famed Watervale sub-region of the Clare Valley, Kilikanoon's Mort's Reserve Riesling is a poignant tribute to Mort Mitchell, father of founder Kevin Mitchell, who planted and tended these historic vines. The fruit is sourced from the premier parcels of the Mort's Block vineyard, where the vines thrive in classic terra rossa red loam over limestone soils. This unique terroir imparts a signature flinty minerality and laser-like natural acidity to the wine. Crafted with minimal intervention, the grapes are gently pressed and cool-fermented in stainless steel to preserve the pristine, vibrant citrus and floral characters that define world-class Clare Valley Riesling.

Kilikanoon blev grundlagt i 1997 af vinmageren Kevin Mitchell og ligger i den naturskønne Clare Valley i South Australia. Vingården henter sine druer fra historiske, lavtydende gamle vinstokke fordelt over en række forskellige mikroklimaer og jordbundstyper, og huset er dedikeret til at skabe vine med enestående kraft, præcision og regional autenticitet. Kilikanoon har opnået stor international anerkendelse for sine dybt koncentrerede, strukturerede rødvine – heriblandt især flagskibene Oracle Shiraz og Prodigal Grenache – side om side med krystalklare, gemmeværdige Clare Valley Riesling-vine.
