The 'A+ Red' (A Plus Rdeče) represents the absolute pinnacle of winemaking at Klet Brda, crafted only in exceptional vintages. This flagship cuvée is born from the oldest, low-yielding terraced vineyards in the Goriška Brda hills, where the vines dig deep into 'opoka'—the region's prized mineral-rich marl and sandstone soil. Influenced by both the cooling alpine breezes of the Julian Alps and the warm Mediterranean currents from the Adriatic Sea, the grapes develop extraordinary aromatic complexity and balanced acidity. The wine undergoes a meticulous selection process, followed by long maceration and extended aging for at least 24 months in French oak barriques, resulting in a profound, cellar-worthy red of remarkable depth, elegance, and structure.
