The Bagueri Superior line pays homage to Count Silverio de Baguer, a Spanish diplomat and visionary who married into local nobility and transformed the Dobrovo Castle estate into a beacon of advanced viticulture during the late 19th century. Cultivated on the steep, sun-drenched terraced slopes of Goriška Brda, where the warm Adriatic breeze meets the cool alpine winds of the Julian Alps, this Cabernet Sauvignon thrives in the mineral-rich opoka (marl and sandstone) soil. The wine is crafted using traditional maceration and aged for at least 24 months in a combination of French oak barriques and larger oak barrels. The result is a deeply structured, elegant red wine that showcases dark berry fruits, refined tannins, and a complex mineral backbone, reflecting the unique borderland terroir of Slovenia's Primorska region.
