The Bagueri Superior line pays homage to Count Silverio de Baguer, a Spanish diplomat who fell in love with the Goriška Brda hills in the late 19th century and transformed Dobrovo Castle into a beacon of advanced viticulture. This Chardonnay is grown on steep, sun-drenched terraced vineyards where the soil is dominated by 'opoka'—a mineral-rich flysch of marl and sandstone. To craft this premium white, the grapes are hand-harvested and undergo fermentation and maturation in a combination of French and American oak barriques, utilizing the sur lie method to build rich texture, complexity, and creamy depth while preserving the vibrant Mediterranean-influenced acidity and distinct mineral backbone of the region.

Established in 1957 as a cooperative uniting local winegrowing families, Klet Brda is the leading wine producer in the picturesque Goriška Brda region of western Slovenia, situated between the Alps and the Adriatic Sea. Working with hundreds of multi-generational families who tend steep, terraced vineyards planted on distinctive flysch and sandstone soils known locally as 'opoka', the winery seamlessly merges centuries of viticultural tradition with state-of-the-art cellar techniques. The estate is celebrated for its diverse portfolio spanning crisp sparkling wines, vibrant whites, and structured reds, with particular distinction in indigenous and regional varieties such as Rebula (Ribolla Gialla) and Sauvignonasse alongside international mainstays across acclaimed collections like the fresh, fruit-forward Quercus line.
