Named in honor of the charismatic Spanish diplomat Count Silverio de Baguer, who revitalized the winemaking traditions of the Dobrovo Castle estate in the late 19th century, the Bagueri Superior Rebula represents the pinnacle of Klet Brda's craft. This wine is a tribute to the flagship indigenous grape of Goriška Brda, Rebula, grown on steep, sun-drenched terraced vineyards characterized by 'opoka'—a mineral-rich soil composed of marl and sandstone. To craft this expressive white, the grapes undergo a short cold maceration followed by fermentation and aging in a combination of French oak barriques and larger oak casks. This meticulous process coaxes out a complex, structured profile that marries vibrant Mediterranean freshness with rich, creamy textures and a distinct mineral backbone.
