The Bagueri Superior line from Klet Brda pays homage to Count Silverio de Baguer, a Spanish diplomat and passionate visionary who transformed the viticultural landscape of Goriška Brda in the late 19th century from his estate at Dobrovo Castle. This Sauvignon Blanc is grown on the region's signature 'opoka' soil—a mineral-rich layered marl and sandstone. The steep, sun-drenched terraces benefit from a unique microclimate where warm Adriatic winds meet cool Alpine breezes. To craft this expressive white, the grapes undergo short cold maceration followed by fermentation and aging on fine lees (sur lie) in a combination of oak barrels and stainless steel tanks. This method imparts a rich, creamy texture and complex smoky undertones that beautifully complement the grape's natural herbaceous and tropical fruit character.
