Krasno Orange is a tribute to the steep, terraced vineyards surrounding the high-altitude village of Krasno in the Goriška Brda region of Slovenia. This expressive orange wine is crafted using the ancient, traditional method of prolonged skin contact (maceration) for white grapes, a practice deeply rooted in the cultural heritage of this cross-border region. Grown on the signature 'opoka' (marl) soils, the grapes benefit from a unique microclimate where alpine breezes meet Mediterranean warmth. Established in 1957 as a cooperative uniting local winegrowing families, Klet Brda is the leading wine producer in the picturesque Goriška Brda region of western Slovenia, situated between the Alps and the Adriatic Sea.
