Hailing from the steep, terraced slopes surrounding the picturesque village of Krasno in the Goriška Brda region, the Krasno Pinot Noir represents a harmonious dialogue between Alpine freshness and Mediterranean warmth. Grown in the region's signature 'opoka' soil—a mineral-rich, layered marl and sandstone—this Pinot Noir (locally known as Modri Pinot) benefits from the dramatic temperature shifts between day and night. The wine is crafted to showcase the pure, vibrant red fruit character of the variety, combined with a distinct earthy undertone and elegant minerality characteristic of this unique Slovenian terroir. Historically, the Brda region has been a cultural crossroads, and this wine reflects that heritage, blending Slavic warmth, Italian elegance, and Austrian precision in its winemaking style.
