Hailing from the sun-drenched, terraced hills of Goriška Brda in Primorska, Slovenia, Klet Brda's Peneči Muškat Selection represents a joyful celebration of the highly aromatic Yellow Muscat (Rumeni Muškat) grape. This sparkling wine is crafted using the Charmat method, a deliberate choice designed to preserve and elevate the grape's intense, volatile primary aromas of fresh grapes, citrus blossoms, and white peaches without the yeasty autolytic character of traditional method aging. In Slovenian wine culture, Muscat is traditionally opened during festive gatherings and family celebrations. The unique microclimate of Brda, defined by the meeting of warm Adriatic breezes and cool alpine drafts from the Julian Alps, allows the grapes to develop rich sweetness while maintaining the crucial acidity needed to balance this expressive, aromatic sparkling wine.
