The Quercus Modri Pinot (Pinot Noir) from Klet Brda is a beautiful expression of how this noble Burgundian variety has found a second home in the sun-drenched, terraced hills of Goriška Brda. The name 'Quercus'—Latin for oak—nods to both the ancient oak forests of the region and the gentle wood aging that shapes this wine's character. Grown on the region's signature 'opoka' soil, a mineral-rich layered marl and sandstone, the vines benefit from a unique microclimate where cool Alpine winds clash with warm Mediterranean breezes. This climatic tension preserves the grape's delicate acidity while coaxing out ripe, red-fruit aromas. The wine is crafted to showcase a harmonious balance of bright cherry and wild berry notes, complemented by subtle earthy undertones and silky tannins.
