Hailing from the sun-drenched, terraced hills of Goriška Brda in Primorska, Slovenia, the Quercus Sauvignon Blanc is a vibrant expression of a classic variety shaped by a unique microclimate where Alpine peaks meet the Adriatic Sea. The name 'Quercus' pays homage to the native oak forests that historically blanketed this picturesque landscape. Grown on 'opoka'—the region's prized mineral-rich marl and sandstone soil—the grapes are hand-harvested from steep slopes. To preserve its intense aromatic purity and crisp, refreshing character, the wine is vinified entirely in stainless steel. The result is a beautifully expressive white wine that captures the essence of its terroir with notes of gooseberry, citrus, and freshly cut grass, balanced by a distinctive saline minerality.

Established in 1957 as a cooperative uniting local winegrowing families, Klet Brda is the leading wine producer in the picturesque Goriška Brda region of western Slovenia, situated between the Alps and the Adriatic Sea. Working with hundreds of multi-generational families who tend steep, terraced vineyards planted on distinctive flysch and sandstone soils known locally as 'opoka', the winery seamlessly merges centuries of viticultural tradition with state-of-the-art cellar techniques.
