Weingut Künstler's Terroir Blanc Riesling Trocken is a superb expression of the unique microclimate of Hochheim am Main, situated at the easternmost edge of the Rheingau. Here, where the Main River merges with the Rhine, the vineyards benefit from the moderating influence of the water and deep, complex soils composed of clay, loess, sand, and gravel. This terroir imparts a distinct, rich minerality and structured acidity to the Riesling grapes. Historically, the wines of Hochheim were so revered by British royalty, particularly Queen Victoria, that they inspired the English term 'Hock' to refer to all high-quality German Rhine wines. Künstler crafts this dry Riesling using sustainable viticulture and gentle cellar practices, fermenting in temperature-controlled stainless steel to preserve the pristine, vibrant fruit profile of white peach, green apple, and bright citrus, backed by a stony, saline finish.

Weingut Künstler was established in Hochheim am Main in 1965 by Franz Künstler, reviving a long-standing family winemaking tradition that originated in South Moravia before World War II. The estate rose to international prominence under the stewardship of Franz's son, Gunter Künstler, who assumed leadership in 1992 with an uncompromising focus on terroir-driven precision.
