Distilled on the windswept shores of Lagavulin Bay and matured for over two decades in refill American oak hogsheads, this limited edition represents the pinnacle of patient maturation. The slow, deliberate distillation in Lagavulin's signature pear-shaped stills allows the heavy, phenolic spirit to develop a remarkably complex character. Over 21 years of breathing the salty, damp Islay air, the aggressive peat smoke has mellowed into a sophisticated tapestry of dry driftwood smoke, coastal brine, caramelized citrus, and delicate tropical fruits, underpinned by a rich, waxy mouthfeel.
