Founded in 1760, Maison Lanson is one of the oldest Champagne houses, renowned for its historical style. To celebrate its 250th anniversary, the house introduced the 'Extra Age' concept, blending three exceptional vintages to achieve ultimate complexity. The Extra Age Brut Blanc de Blancs is crafted entirely from 100% Chardonnay sourced from prestigious Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards in the Côte des Blancs, including Avize, Cramant, and Oger. In keeping with Lanson's traditional winemaking philosophy, this cuvée does not undergo malolactic fermentation, preserving the grape's natural acidity, purity, and exceptional freshness. The wine is aged on its lees for a minimum of five years in the historic cellars, resulting in a complex profile of white flowers, pear, toasted brioche, and mineral-driven depth.

Established in 1760 by François Delamotte and later rebranded under the stewardship of Jean-Baptiste Lanson, Champagne Lanson ranks among the oldest and most historically significant Maisons in Reims. Operating today under the Lanson-BCC group with Chef de Cave Hervé Dantan directing vinification, the house sources Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Meunier across approximately 400 hectares, including 60 hectares of estate vineyards managed sustainably with parcels certified organic and biodynamic. Terroirs encompass grand and premier crus spanning the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs, complemented by the notable urban walled vineyard Clos Lanson rooted in pure chalk. Lanson’s vinous signature is defined by its steadfast historic practice of blocking malolactic fermentation across its core range, preserving sharp malic tension, nerve, and structural longevity, balanced by extended lees contact and sizable reserve wine additions.
