The 'Full Cask' No 800109 represents an exceptional single-cask expression, matured in close proximity to the Atlantic Ocean where the salty sea air permeates the warehouse walls. Laphroaig's history is rich with lore, notably how its intense iodine and seaweed character allowed it to be legally imported into the United States during Prohibition as a 'medicinal spirit.' This specific cask release showcases the pure, unadulterated synergy of heavily peated malted barley, copper pot distillation, and years of quiet oak maturation, resulting in a complex dram of tar, bonfire smoke, sweet vanilla, and brine.
