Finca Las Moras Bonarda celebrates Argentina's second most planted red grape, which has stepped out of the shadow of Malbec to claim its own spotlight. Grown in the sun-drenched, high-altitude desert of the San Juan province, primarily within the Tulum Valley, these vines benefit from intense daily sunlight and cool mountain nights. Historically, Bonarda was brought to Argentina by European immigrants and was long used as a blending grape. Today, Finca Las Moras crafts it as a single-varietal showcase of the region's unique terroir. The winemaking focus is on preserving the grape's natural, juicy fruit character, utilizing temperature-controlled stainless steel fermentation followed by minimal oak contact to maintain a fresh, vibrant profile filled with notes of dark berries and soft tannins.

Established in the 1990s in San Juan, Argentina, Finca Las Moras emerged as an essential pioneer in reshaping the region's viticultural landscape across the Tulum, Zonda, and Pedernal Valleys. Now part of the Grupo Peñaflor family, the winery takes its name from the native blackberry trees that frame its high-altitude vineyards tucked against the Andes Mountains. Finca Las Moras is celebrated for its innovative and sustainable approach to winemaking, focusing heavily on unlocking the regional potential of Syrah alongside classic Argentine staples like Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, and aromatic whites such as Viognier and Sauvignon Blanc.
