β¨ Technical Specifications
Finca Las Moras breaks traditional winemaking boundaries with 'Los Intocables' (The Untouchables), a bold and rebellious collection inspired by the Prohibition era. This distinctive Red Blend is crafted from grapes grown in the high-altitude, sun-drenched valleys of San Juan, Argentina. What truly sets this wine apart is its unique aging process: it spends several months maturing in charred North American white oak barrels previously used for aging bourbon. This unconventional technique infuses the wine with rich, decadent notes of caramel, maple, vanilla, and sweet smoke, beautifully complementing the deep, ripe dark fruit flavors of the grapes. It is a modern, daring expression that pays homage to the spirit of defiance and craftsmanship.
πΎ About the Producer
Established in the 1990s in San Juan, Argentina, Finca Las Moras emerged as an essential pioneer in reshaping the region's viticultural landscape across the Tulum, Zonda, and Pedernal Valleys. Now part of the Grupo PeΓ±aflor family, the winery takes its name from the native blackberry trees that frame its high-altitude vineyards tucked against the Andes Mountains. Finca Las Moras is celebrated for its innovative and sustainable approach to winemaking, focusing heavily on unlocking the regional potential of Syrah alongside classic Argentine staples like Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, and aromatic whites such as Viognier and Sauvignon Blanc. From the accessible and fruit-driven Intis line to complex, terroir-focused reserves, their wines showcase the intense sunshine, mineral-rich soils, and vibrant fruit purity characteristic of San Juan.
