โจ Technical Specifications
Finca Las Moras's Late Harvest Viognier is a luscious testament to the sun-drenched, high-altitude desert of San Juan, Argentina. In this arid region, the dry Zonda wind and intense Andean sunshine naturally dehydrate the Viognier grapes on the vine, concentrating their natural sugars, acidity, and aromatic compounds. This sweet nectar captures the essence of the Tulum Valley, where sandy-loam soils and extreme diurnal temperature shifts yield a dessert wine of remarkable balance. Historically, San Juan has been a cradle of Argentine viticulture, and this wine showcases a modern, expressive take on the classic Rhรดne variety, transforming it into a rich, golden elixir filled with notes of dried apricots, honey, and orange blossom.
๐พ About the Producer
Established in the 1990s in San Juan, Argentina, Finca Las Moras emerged as an essential pioneer in reshaping the region's viticultural landscape across the Tulum, Zonda, and Pedernal Valleys. Now part of the Grupo Peรฑaflor family, the winery takes its name from the native blackberry trees that frame its high-altitude vineyards tucked against the Andes Mountains. Finca Las Moras is celebrated for its innovative and sustainable approach to winemaking, focusing heavily on unlocking the regional potential of Syrah alongside classic Argentine staples like Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, and aromatic whites such as Viognier and Sauvignon Blanc. From the accessible and fruit-driven Intis line to complex, terroir-focused reserves, their wines showcase the intense sunshine, mineral-rich soils, and vibrant fruit purity characteristic of San Juan.
