Believing that nature could never provide the perfect single year, he sought to recreate it by blending three exceptional, complementary vintages declared by the house. Named in honor of the 17th-century 'Great Century' of King Louis XIV, this masterpiece is crafted from a selection of 11 of Champagne's most prestigious Grand Crus. The blend typically favors Chardonnay from legendary villages like Avize, Cramant, and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, balanced by Pinot Noir from Mailly, Ambonnay, and Bouzy. Aged on its lees for over a decade, it achieves a sublime harmony of fresh citrus, toasted brioche, honeyed hazelnuts, and intense minerality, embodying the pinnacle of the art of assemblage.
