Hailing from the prestigious Premier Cru vineyards of the Côte de Beaune, Louis Jadot's white 'Champ' (most notably referencing the esteemed Champ Pimont climat) represents the pinnacle of classic Burgundian Chardonnay. The name 'Champ' historically refers to the open fields and slopes that have been cultivated since medieval times by local monastics. Jadot's parcels in these Premier Cru sites benefit from clay-limestone soils rich in calcium, which impart a distinct mineral tension and structural elegance to the wine. Fermented and aged in oak barrels from Jadot's own Cadus cooperage, this wine beautifully balances rich stone fruit flavors with a vibrant, flinty acidity, showcasing the house's signature style of minimal intervention and deep respect for terroir.

Maison Louis Jadot blev grundlagt i 1859 af Louis Henry Denis Jadot i hjertet af det historiske Beaune og har siden udviklet sig til et af Burgunds mest respekterede og alsidige vinhuse. Med en imponerende portefølje af vinmarker i Côte d'Or, Chablis, Côte Chalonnaise, Mâconnais og Beaujolais forener vinhuset stolte håndværkstraditioner med en præcis og omhyggelig vinifikation.
