This exceptional walled vineyard (clos) is situated within the larger Morgeot Premier Cru climat and takes its name from the historic chapel on the property, which has roots tracing back to the medieval monks of the Abbey of Maizi res. Although Chassagne-Montrachet is modernly famous for its white wines, its red Pinot Noir wines have a storied past, offering a more robust, structured, and earthy profile than their northern neighbors. Vinified traditionally in open oak vats and aged for 15 to 18 months in French oak barrels, this wine showcases a beautiful balance of wild red berries, forest floor, and elegant, age-worthy tannins.
