The 'Héritiers Louis Jadot' designation represents the historical heart of the estate, comprising prestigious vineyards owned by the founding Jadot family since the 19th century. Among their most celebrated white Grand Cru holdings is Corton-Charlemagne, a vineyard steeped in legend and named after the Emperor Charlemagne, who allegedly ordered white grapes to be planted on the hill of Corton to prevent red wine from staining his white beard. Grown on the steep, chalky limestone soils of the Montagne de Corton, these Chardonnay vines yield a wine of immense power, structural longevity, and mineral precision. Vinified using traditional methods and aged in French oak barrels from Jadot's own Cadus cooperage, this Grand Cru white marries opulent yellow orchard fruit and citrus zest with a deep, flinty minerality and toasted hazelnut complexity.

Maison Louis Jadot blev grundlagt i 1859 af Louis Henry Denis Jadot i hjertet af det historiske Beaune og har siden udviklet sig til et af Burgunds mest respekterede og alsidige vinhuse. Med en imponerende portefølje af vinmarker i Côte d'Or, Chablis, Côte Chalonnaise, Mâconnais og Beaujolais forener vinhuset stolte håndværkstraditioner med en præcis og omhyggelig vinifikation.
