✨ Technical Specifications
The 2008 Cristal Brut is widely regarded as a modern legend in Champagne, born from a remarkably cool yet dry growing season that allowed the grapes to ripen slowly and achieve an extraordinary balance of intense concentration and searing, chalky acidity. In an unprecedented move, Chef de Cave Jean-Baptiste Lecaillon chose to cellar the 2008 vintage for a full decade on its lees, releasing it after the sunnier 2009 vintage to allow its monumental structure to soften. Sourced exclusively from Grand Cru vineyards in the Montagne de Reims, Valle de la Marne, and the Cote des Blancs, this wine captures the pure, crystalline essence of its limestone soils. It represents the pinnacle of precision, where the powerful structure of Pinot Noir seamlessly intertwines with the chalky, mineral-driven elegance of Chardonnay.
