✨ Technical Specifications
Crafted by the legendary Rhône producer M. Chapoutier, Terra d'Or Rouge is a tribute to the sun-drenched terroirs of Provence. The name Terra d'Or, meaning 'Land of Gold,' evokes the luminous, golden light of the region that has long inspired artists and winemakers alike. This red blend, typically composed of classic Mediterranean varieties like Grenache and Syrah, is grown on clay-limestone soils swept by the purifying Mistral wind. Chapoutier employs traditional vinification methods with temperature-controlled fermentation and aging in concrete or stainless steel vats to preserve the vibrant, pure fruit character. The resulting wine beautifully captures the wild, aromatic essence of the local garrigue, showing notes of ripe dark berries, black pepper, and dried herbs.
🍾 About the Producer
Founded in 1808 in Tain-l'Hermitage in the Rhône Valley, M. Chapoutier has grown into one of France's most celebrated wine houses, propelled to international acclaim following Michel Chapoutier's visionary leadership in 1990. A pioneer in biodynamic viticulture and minimal-intervention winemaking, the estate is revered for its single-vineyard 'sélections parcellaires' that articulate the purest nuances of individual terroirs across the Rhône and beyond. Iconic for incorporating Braille script on every label since 1996, Chapoutier produces benchmark expressions of Syrah, Marsanne, and Grenache across prestigious appellations including Hermitage, Côte-Rôtie, and Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
