✨ Technical Specifications
Hailing from the sun-drenched terraces of the Southern Rhône Valley, M. Chapoutier's 'Terrasses de Galets' White is a beautiful tribute to the region's unique geological history. The name itself references the 'galets roulés'—smooth, quartzite river stones left behind by ancient alpine glaciers. These iconic pebbles absorb the fierce Provençal sun by day and radiate warmth back to the vines at night, fostering optimal ripening. Crafted by the historic house of Chapoutier, established in 1808, this white blend typically brings together classic regional varietals such as Grenache Blanc, Clairette, and Bourboulenc. Vinified primarily in stainless steel to preserve its vibrant, fresh character, the wine captures the essence of the Rhône: a delicate balance of crisp stone fruits, white blossoms, and a distinctive, stony minerality that reflects its ancient terroir.
🍾 About the Producer
Founded in 1808 in Tain-l'Hermitage in the Rhône Valley, M. Chapoutier has grown into one of France's most celebrated wine houses, propelled to international acclaim following Michel Chapoutier's visionary leadership in 1990. A pioneer in biodynamic viticulture and minimal-intervention winemaking, the estate is revered for its single-vineyard 'sélections parcellaires' that articulate the purest nuances of individual terroirs across the Rhône and beyond. Iconic for incorporating Braille script on every label since 1996, Chapoutier produces benchmark expressions of Syrah, Marsanne, and Grenache across prestigious appellations including Hermitage, Côte-Rôtie, and Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
