Maison Alex Gambal's Meursault Clos Cromin is a stunning expression of one of Burgundy's most celebrated white wine appellations. The lieu-dit 'Clos Cromin' is situated on the northern side of Meursault, bordering Volnay, where the soils are rich in clay and limestone. This unique terroir imparts a distinctive dual character to the Chardonnay grapes: the clay lends a voluptuous, rich texture and weight, while the limestone subsoil ensures a vibrant, mineral-driven acidity. Historically, Meursault has been revered since the Cistercian monks of Citeaux cultivated these slopes in the Middle Ages, establishing a legacy of precision and devotion to terroir.
