✨ Technical Specifications
Hailing from the esteemed Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru vineyard 'Les Chaumées', this white Burgundy is a masterclass in mineral tension and elegance. The name 'Les Chaumées' historically refers to the wild, fallow land or stubble fields ('chaumes') where communal herds once grazed before the slopes were dedicated entirely to the vine. Situated high on the slope near the ancient limestone quarries, the vineyard's thin, stony soils over hard limestone bedrock force the Chardonnay roots deep, imparting a signature flinty minerality and vibrant acidity. Marchand-Tawse crafts this wine using organic and biodynamic principles, fermenting with indigenous yeasts and aging in French oak barrels. The result is a beautifully structured Chardonnay that balances rich stone fruit, white flowers, and toasted hazelnut with a crystalline, saline finish.
