✨ wine.spec_sheet

Markus Molitor's Kinheimer Hubertuslay Riesling Auslese Goldkapsel is a masterclass in the tension between luscious sweetness and electric acidity. Sourced from the steep, slate-rich slopes of the Kinheimer Hubertuslay—a vineyard named in honor of Saint Hubertus, the patron saint of hunters—this 100% Riesling benefits from weathered gray slate soils and a warm microclimate. Markus Molitor, who took over his family estate in 1984, is famous for his uncompromising quality standards, including multiple meticulous hand-selections in the vineyard. The Goldkapsel (Gold Capsule) denotes a wine of exceptional richness and noble botrytis influence, fermented spontaneously with wild yeasts in traditional neutral oak Fuder casks. The result is a wine of profound complexity, showing notes of candied citrus, honeyed stone fruit, and an intense, stony minerality that defines the Mosel's dramatic terroir.
