✨ wine.spec_sheet

Markus Molitor took over his family's estate in 1984 with an uncompromising commitment to quality, helping to restore the Mosel's historical reputation for world-class Riesling. The Saarburger Rausch vineyard is situated on the steep, wind-swept slopes of the Saar tributary, characterized by weathered, iron-rich Devonian slate soils. This cool microclimate and unique terroir impart a distinctive smoky minerality and a piercing, electric acidity to the Riesling grapes. Molitor's Spatlese is crafted using ambient yeast fermentations and traditional large oak fuder or stainless steel, preserving the delicate balance of late-harvest stone fruit sweetness and crystalline structure that defines this legendary site.
