✨ wine.spec_sheet

Deusa Nai, meaning 'Mother Goddess' in Galician, pays homage to the ancient Celtic folklore of fertility and the earth in Spain's lush northwestern corner. Crafted by the historic Rioja house Marqués de Cáceres, this 100% Albariño is sourced from the granite-rich soils of the Rías Baixas DO, specifically the humid, sea-breeze-cooled vineyards of the Salnés Valley. The wine is fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and kept on its fine lees for a short period to enhance its texture while preserving its signature electric acidity. It represents a classic expression of the region, bursting with aromas of green apples, white peaches, and citrus blossoms, all underpinned by a distinct salty, mineral finish reminiscent of the nearby Atlantic Ocean.

🍾 wine.about_producer

Founded in 1970 by Enrique Forner in the historic town of Cenicero within Rioja Alta, Bodegas Marqués de Cáceres revolutionized the Rioja region by introducing Bordeaux-style winemaking techniques, including temperature-controlled stainless steel fermentation and a greater emphasis on fruit purity over excessive oak aging. Today, under the leadership of Cristina Forner, the family-owned estate has expanded its footprint beyond Rioja to Galicia, Rueda, and Ribera del Duero, crafting a diverse portfolio of elegant, expressive wines. The winery is globally renowned for its classic Tempranillo-dominated reds—ranging from the vibrant Tinto Crianza to the prestigious, old-vine Gaudium and Gran Reserva—as well as crisp, barrel-fermented whites like Antea and refreshing rosés.
